These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of Five Acres Dog Field (“the Field”, “the Facility”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
By booking or using the Field, you (“the Customer”, “you”, “your”) agree to these Terms.
1 – About the Facility
1.1 – The Field is a self-service, private dog exercise area designed to provide a safe, enclosed space for off-lead play and training.
1.2 – The Field is unmanned – users are responsible for their own safety, that of their dogs, and any accompanying persons.
2 – Bookings and Payment
2.1 – All bookings must be made and paid for in advance via our online booking system at www.fiveacresdogfield.co.uk . Any breach of this condition will lead to your permitted use of the Field being permanently revoked.
2.2 – Payment is required in full at the time of booking and is made through Stripe. No cash must be left at the Field.
2.3 – When making your booking, you must be honest about the number of dogs your booking is for. Spot checks are carried out and CCTV is in operation. There is a different pricing structure where more than 4 dogs are brought to the Field. We must be notified in advance of any changes to your dog numbers that would change your price category.
2.4 – Please note that for all bookings (other than group bookings which must be arranged directly with us), a maximum of two vehicles are permitted at the Facility.
2.5 – Once confirmed, bookings are non-transferable and non-refundable, except as set out in Section 12.
2.6 – Your booking entitles you to exclusive use of the Field for the duration of your session. If you have booked a socialisation or training class, your use will be shared with others. Please refer to Section 10.
3 – Access and Session Times
3.1 – You will receive gate access instructions including the padlock code for your booking via email after payment is confirmed. Please note that the padlock code is changed regularly. If it changes between the time of your booking and the time of your session, we will notify you.
3.2 – Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your booking and leave promptly at the end of your session. Your booking slot includes the time it takes for you to load your dog back into the car. You need to be ready to leave the car park at the end of your allotted time.
3.3 – Do not enter the Field before your time slot, even if the car park appears to be empty. Another customer may be using the Field, who has arrived on foot.
3.4 – If, on your arrival, the previous user has not exited the Field, please wait behind the yellow line until the previous user has fully exited and secured the gate. The previous customer may have reactive, nervous or antisocial dogs.
3.5 – Do not request that the previous user leaves the gate open for you to access the Field and when your session ends, do not let the next user into the Field.
3.6 – If the previous user is still in the Field at the time when your booking is due to start, please inform us immediately on 07812031736.
3.7 – Should you enter the Field late, this will not alter the end time of your booking. You should ensure that you vacate the site on time so as not to cause any delay to subsequent customers waiting to start their session.
3.8 – Always ensure that the vehicular gate is closed and locked immediately after entry and exit. Please also ensure that the pedestrian gate into the Field is kept closed during your session.
4 – Vehicles and Parking
4.1 – Please park considerately in the designated area and ensure that gates and driveways are not obstructed.
4.2 – Vehicles and their contents are left entirely at your own risk. We accept no responsibility for loss or damage incurred.
5 – Dog supervision and Behaviour
5.1 – Dogs must be kept on a lead until safely inside the enclosed area.
5.2 – Dogs must never be left unattended in the Field.
5.3 – All dogs must remain under your control at all times.
5.4 – No more than 4 dogs may be exercised during one session, unless additional dogs have been booked in, in advance.
5.5 – Please discourage your dog from digging as this can make the Field insecure and dangerous to other users. Any holes dug must be refilled and reported for safety and security reasons.
5.6 – Do not drop litter or leave toys or uneaten treats in the Field or shelters. Dogs may swallow them and become ill, so please take everything home with you at the end of your session.
5.7 – Do not bring your dog to the field if they are or have been unwell in the last 48 hours. This includes coughing, diarrhoea, vomiting, general illness, lethargy etc. Doing so could be harmful to other dogs visiting the Field.
5.8 – All dogs using the field must be regularly treated for flea, tick and worm prevention and fully vaccinated.
6 – Professional Dog Walkers and Trainers
6.1 – Professional dog walkers and trainers are welcome to use the Field, but must obtain the prior consent of the owner. Please contact hello@fiveacresdogfield.co.uk to discuss terms and availability.
6.2 – Professional dog walkers and trainers must have their own professional indemnity and public liability insurance in place and must provide a copy of this to us before the relevant session. Inability to provide a copy will mean that permission to use the field will be withheld. Insurances must be kept up to date and valid for the intended duration of use of the field.
7 – Fencing
7.1 – Although we will be inspecting and maintaining the fence regularly, holes or other damage to the fence may occur from time to time due to a number of reasons including digging by dogs or other animals, fallen trees or branches and general wear and tear. If you become aware of any issues with the state of the fence, please let us know immediately so that we can rectify the situation.
7.2 – The fencing installed at the field is 6 feet (1.8 metres) high throughout which would not be scalable to most dogs. However, you know your dog best and if you there is a chance that your dog would be able to scale such a fence then you will need to keep your dog on a lead in the Field as it may not be secure for you.
8 – Children
8.1 – It is important to us that the Field can be enjoyed by all ages and you are therefore welcome to bring children to the field. However, they must be supervised at all times and you are responsible for making sure that they do not injure themselves or breach any of these Terms.
8.2 – Please be aware that the field has not been made child safe and users must respect the area and contents. Children must not be allowed to climb our fences, gates or equipment and anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
9 – Health, Safety and Conduct

9.2 – The Field is a countryside based facility and as such, although it is maintained, there may be branches, stones and uneven ground in the Field which may be concealed under long grass or other vegetation.
9.3 – The Field is surrounded by native hedging which includes brambles, hawthorn and blackthorn. The hedge is outside the fenced area and is regularly checked and maintained, however we cannot guarantee that sticks or thorns will not be blown from the hedge into the field by high winds. You must therefore treat the Field as any other natural environment and you are responsible for being vigilant of any hazards to you and/ or your dog.
9.4 – The Field may get wet and muddy from time to time (especially in the winter months) so you must ensure that adequate and sensible footwear is worn at all times.
9.6 – All dog waste must be bagged and placed in the dedicated bins provided. We also ask if you see any poo at all that you please pick it up. As the Field is large, there is a possibility that you may miss your own dog’s poo, but if you pick up any you see, others will pick up yours.
9.7 – Remove all toys, litter, and personal belongings before leaving. Please be particularly vigilant to remove any broken toys or balls. Tennis balls in particular can pose a choking risk to dogs.
